| CR01 several consultations
Hi, I have a Tamiya CR 01 excuse my bad English, I'll see if I understand I'm from Costa Rica and in my country there is little taste for Crawler, everything is for model airplanes. CR01 parties in Costa Rica is difficult. EBay buyer, but there is little and a little pricey, my question is if there is another page where you can buy aluminum parts for this model? I also want to change the engine and put one a little more powerful, but waterproof, we recommend? That I also see many of the used tires here are a bit thinner and with more grip. That Measures have? sorry so many questions, but really This Crazy hobby this is my baby |

Welcome! Hare you tried asiatees.com? Not sure what the shipping is to Costa Rica, but the selection is great and the prices are very good. Any brushed motor really can be run in water as long as proper maintenance is done. Flush it out with motor spray once in a while and keep the bearings lubed and it'll be fine. Power levels depend on your needs really - looking to go faster? more torque? Hard to hazard a guess without knowing what you are looking for, but I'll say that 35t motors work pretty well in CR's. Little more torque than stock without losing much speed. 2.2 tires come in all shapes and sizes. Your stock tires are 4.9" (125mm) diameter, 2.2" (56mm) wide - look at the specs on other tires and compare to yours to get an idea of how much larger/wider they would be. Hope that helps! |

Looking at the photo you posted as an example, it looks to me that this front tire may have some very soft foam. Some people run two different types of foam in their tires. Maybe someone who does will help you. I use foam in my tires but it is the foam that normally comes with the tire and is the same consistency throughout.

Crawler Innovations foams fitted to your tire size and vehicle weight. No questions asked in my opinion. Look them up in the vendors section.
