upgrades started today the steering as it was the 5995 love the tlt rodends . so I used a revo rod with 1 Revo rodend and 1 Jato to made my lower link and I use some 4mm althread and revo ends to make the top . oh and the turning is not BADD I also changed out the springs . I put the Losi Yellows on the front and Traxxas Reds on the rear. the angle that I have the shocks the White/Yellow front / rear comb was to soft . I also replace the oil in the rear shocks with 30 weight .

I was running a 10 pinion gear with the hand wound 45turn . but I got to make a trip to get a 11 and 12 tooth . I also redid the motor it is now a 35 turn . the R2D is geared really low with the stock 8 tooth . the power with the 45turn and 10 tooth was unreal but wheel speed was a little slower than I like .

the mod is easy and if you leave the new switch in the center , the stock switch will still work the same .

they are a great tire , big stepup over Moabs . they pull verts better , sidehill alittle better , cleanout alittle better . I started running them in July of last year . The only tire that might work as good or better wouldbe the new pro-line Badlands .

I like masher 2ks myself . If you are running in Mud and Roots (not comps) I would say Mashers might have a edge . Just because they clean out better . Thanks for the good words on The HQQD Rat.

I done some testing today . I ended up changing the foams . I have had good luck with stock Axial foams in Losi Claws . I narrowed them about 3/16" and put the cut side of the foams to the inside of the tire . I also ended up adding 3 oz to the rig . that was 1 1/2 to each axle . more testing this next week but all and all it is working good . Edit : I forgot to say ran the 8 tooth pinion to get the rig up and running . I changed it to a 10 tooth biggest 32 pitch I had but it was still on the slow side . So today I changed it to a 12 tooth . It brought it alive with the 35 turn hand wound . There is plenty of power and wheel speed .
