| Sorry to hear that!
Have you PM'd Jerry about it yet? Im sure he would take care of you. That kind of thing always happens to me I am usually the 1 in a thousand who has an issue. He just let me know I should be able to get my DCR in 2-3 weeks YEA! Let us know how it works out. |

I had that issue with my Aluminati...mine was out on the rear by a smidge over an 1/8th. Just made the link longer on one side with a shim. I rebuilt the rig before my fall series with new links and it didn't require the shim anymore..I guess the summer series tweaked the mount enough. Not unhappy with the product from DMG at all and I did return to buy a TVP tuber from him for my Beg build. Nice work btw...you will be pleased with the results. look at your bead in the pic you took it doesn't look seated right. |

Ya, the tires not in 100%, because it was just a quick mock-up shot. The Axial rims are no longer going to be used for this build........I have something much more suiting on the way now........

Alright, finally got my camera back, and snapped a few more pics. Here some clearance shots showing the way the dig linkage fits under the electronics tray now. Looks like it should work. |

Some pics of the link "issue". Upper links are are from a Traxxas Revo. Easy, pre-assembled, and equal in length. And now mounted up to the chassis. Rear end is close......but off center slightly to the left: Front end is definitely hanging to the right: Uhg. |

I'm pretty sure the postman hates me. I placed a Tower order a while back, and it shipped out in two parts on December 5th. One part had a tracking number, and showed up in a week. The second part.......containing the steering servo I plan to use in this build......has now been in transit for over two weeks. And of course, there is no tracking info on it. Grrrr..................... |

Got a bit more work done today. Spent a little more time "straightening" out the truck. Then, I pulled out some Axial parts, and assembled the front driveshafts. Also added a set or 3 Racing reinforcement rings for a bit more security. Everything was going smoothly until I decided to try mounting them on the axle/tranny. Grrrr...................... So the problem looks something like this: Yup, the front driveshaft rubs on the dig servo. :( At this point I didn't really fell like dealing with it (and in all honesty, I might just leave it.....lol), so instead I cut a shorter rear drive shaft and decided to focus on that end of the rig. Shocks are a set of Traxxas "Long" aluminum big bore units. Filled a set with 80wt oil and an internal "droop" spring cut from a longer one I picked up at a local hardware store. Added on the rear drive shaft, attatched the lower and upper links, and suddenly the back end starts to take shape. Now if only the mailman would bring me my steering servo so I could go back to the front end............... |

Steering is done. Front shocks are built up (same as rear, but w/40wt oil). Electronics are in. CC Sidewinder ESC and a Hitec 3 channel receiver. Wheels still haven't shipped yet, so I think I'll put on some "Temporary" shoes until they do. There is a indoor Mini competition here tomorrow, so I'm hoping to have the Nemesis running for that. I just need to find a spot for the battery..................... Pics latter........... |

Looks tight!!! Can you tell me what you are using inside of the traxxas shock to mount up on the bracket? (The little orange dohicky I see in the picture). I have been having some problems with this. Fuel tubbing always seems to tear due to the alignment.

| Thanx! I'm really happy with the way it looks so far. It's a tight set-up though, and with it running droop, I'm having some issues finding a battery mounting spot. But hey, that's all part of the challange/fun of building up a non-box-stock rig! Quote:
I have never run it in a TLT bracket like this before, but it has always worked without tearing in my other shock mounting applications. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know how it holds up after a few runs.

Alrighty..............a fewmmore updates, and a load of pics (there all anyone really wants to see anyway.....). Installation of the electronics was fairly straight forward as both the ESC and reciever fit nicely on the electronics shelf. Front end suspension coming together... The front steering servo; Hobbico CS-170. Nothing like 333oz of torque on a 2.2 rig! And another one of it installed. |

It's been two weeks since I ordered a set of Mayhem wheels for this thing, and I still haven't even heard if they've shipped out to me. :( I needed to get this thing up and running for our local comp series, so as such, I opted to just put on a different set of rims for now. Proline 8-Shooter Beadlocks came to save the day. My first impressions of these rims were positive. Beefy looking, and they seem to hold the bead much more secure then an Axial Rim. Went to add some weight to them, however, and discovered that the lead I usually use is ~1-2mm wider then the gap in the center of the rim! Dang! Out came the wire cutters to save the day, and 15 minutes (and some sore hands...) latter I had the wheels weighted up. Rears have 3oz each, while fronts have 6oz each. Both front & rear have a 1/8" vent hole drilled. Tires are still the Proline M2 Badlands. Front foams are Proline soft memory foams, while rears are slightly firmer memory foams from Trinity. The set up looks sharp, IMO. |

Since the tires are a bit smaller then the ones I was hoping to run, I ended up raising the suspension a bit to keep the belly from being too low. At 2", it's still a bit lower then I'd prefer, but I'm gonna give it a shake down run before I start changing things. Lifting the suspension a bit allowed me to mount a 2S 2000mah LiPo on the front upper links with an Axial plate, a strap, and some velcro. It's tight, but it works. I finished up the cable routing, and mounted up the wheels. Pulled out the beautiful polished aluminum skins, and 12 tiny screws latter, the Nemesis really looks the part. Overall width is a very narrow 9.25". This will likely grow a bit once (if?) my Mayhem rims show up. Wheelbase is a hair under 12.5". My first impressions are that I have the suspension set up a bit to stiff, and that articulation is too limited. I'll run it like this, but I foresee myself rebuilding the shocks in the near future, and maybe even stepping up to something a bit longer. Of course, it hasn't seen the rocks yet, so who knows? Overall CoG seems good, though. |

Lookin good That is one low rider! So that tweaked chassis did not hurt anything in the end? I'm still trying to get Jerry to take my money but if he does not at least get the process started I might go the DNA slingshot route. No one else makes as cool a tuber as DMG but I think these smaller vendors get overwhelmed and freak out. Anyway nice job!, let us know how she runs. |
