Ground clearance is awesome, the bigger tire gives it better wheel speed. I really like them. The only problem is that my mini is super light. I use a AAA battery pack and have cut the frame like crazy. A little more weight would really help the tires hook up. I'll probably try some bb's and see how that works.

Yeah, thats what I figured. BB's in the tire will be real tuff on the drivetrain though. I bent/ borke an inner axle in the front with just tlt tires!!

Yeah, that's why I haven't done it yet. I've lightened it so much though that I think I can get away with some weight. The nylint tires are super light too, so I think I have a long way to go before it would put as much stress as TLT tires. I guess I'll just have to find out.

Also, sticking with the stock motor keeps things alive as well. My bro. has a 370 in his with TLT size tires and he strips hexes like it's his job .

Well you need to buy some traxxas hex pins. Then drill a hole in the axle and slot the hex for the pin. That way you wont strip the little hex's.

THe nylint tires will hook up alot better if you sand down the larger sidewall lugs, they become really plush!

Any more detailed pics of the mini? Maybe without the body and front view with the Nylint tires?

Cuban B,

Could you provide some pics of how you moded the Nylint wheels to fit the VMG. I have a set just begging to be put on my VMG. If so, email them to me at supermanwv@lycos.com .

Thanks

Clark
