Yeah toyo that always was a problem on mine, finnaly ended up going to juggy universals on the output's of the axles with pede sliders and steel yokes on the tranny-never had a problem until I did the new alum chassie and the wheelbase got streached so I just went to revo shafts and said to hell with it

Cool truck BTW

Nice rig Toyo, The Ultimate Taco was at my buddies shop getting video cameras and rock lights installed. Pretty sweet truck. It's funny I saw it without all the decals too. Looks just like yours sorta.

Wouldn't TXT shafts work in a TLT?

I was wondering how long it'd take for people to see that I copied the Ultimate Taco paint job on my TLT.... Or attempted too I really suck at painting. I plan to buy another body and have hackster paint it for me since I really suck at paint jobs.

The TXT shafts may work... I'll have to buy some now. Great.. spending even more money before I even get to run with other rigs

toyo for the spare use the exact same tires and wheels you are running, narrow them and it will be like a small spare like most real cars have u know for temp purposes

I already have a spare... stock TLT narrowed down to 1" wide. Fits into the molded spare tire on the body

Not yet. I still have a bit of body work left to do before everything gets bolted in.

In the process of body mods.....

Still in the works as is the rest of the truck

On a Booty-Fab scale of 1 to 10... this truck rates at a 6 right now

You should send a pic to the Fourwheeler bunch. I'm sure they'd run it.

I still am unsure about the body Sometimes I look at it and like it, other times....

That is an awesome way to use the stock clod chassis, great idea. I like to build a TLT also but the whole driveshaft issue makes me stay away. Hopefully you guys will come up with a good solution.

Caint wait to see some Team Trials action.

Solution to what? If it's the chassis twist/torque twist then that's no reason to stay away from the shafted side. It's an easy fix. It's all about weight placement. Get the weight off the chassis and onto the links of axle(s) and the twisting issue goes away.

This problem... I dont want to run Revo shafts cuz they are too big for scale. I'd rather use Stampede shafts but I am sure they would break.

If you use the stainless steel yokes for the Stampede you'll never have that problem. The 'Pede sliders are actually quite strong for there size. The 'Pede SS yokes bolt right onto the TLT axles. They also have dual grub screws to help with holding power... the Maxx & REVO sliders are a joke on these things. I'll probably swap to the SS 'Pede yokes and 'Pede sliders. I had the SS yokes but returned them, I still have the 'Pede sliders though. The SS yokes go for about $17-20 a pair depending on your LHS.

I'm running the rather large 2.5 Maxx sliders and it takes a good amount of mods to make them fit okay wise. The added beef that the Maxx and REVO gives isn't worth it. I've never seen any of the ORCRC TLT's snap a 'Pede slider.

Remember that my truck weighs in at 3lbs RTR.... As should most TLT based crawlers.

Hey, nice tube bumper

I didn't notice it before, but I like your rear steer lockout idea. I didn't much like having the back bumper on the truck, I might have to do something similar.

Ahhh, ok. I have a set of the SS yokes, I bought them to use on my Bruiser axles. Guess I'll have to buy some more.

I had seen everyone talking about Revo and 2.5 sliders so I thought the 'pede sliders were too weak. Now I know..
Thanks for the tips Toyo.
