I am really liking this build . very nice looking buggy . I am about to build a buggy also . A friend is doing to tube work going to do some testing for him . I think I will do longer links in the front to start off . but make them where I can just flip them to the rear and try it both ways .

Dang that looks nice! This will be one very scale looking tube buggy. Your tubes look to have a great fit, but you got a little generous with the filler in spots

I know what you mean, gravity carried some of my welds. But, most of the welds should be under the body panels and the ones that are not will get the Dremel treatment.

I mounted all the shocks to the chassis today no more zip-ties. Made the side panels, roof and hood. Now I just need to beef up some welds sand some welds and paint.

With the shocks at the near vertical position I don't have any springs soft enough.

Yeah, I plan to have it ready for next weekend. I want to at least get a outdoor test run in before it snows. I might buy some different shocks the truck currently sits a little high.

The rear wheels are locked with the dig shaft itself. Hard to explain, you have to see it to know exactly how it works. I basicly used the ORCRC write up that is floating around this site. The shaft I made will have to be redone its just 1/4 to short.

He is some more updated pictures. I welded a few more braces to the chassis. Painted it with some black epoxy paint and put the roof on. I need to get the rest of it done now, the chassis main structure is finished. I've got the COG about where I want it, everything heavy is low.

I still need to
  1. Hook up the mini servo to the rear dig linkage.
  2. Finish and mount the rest of the body panels.
  3. Install the huge Traxxas reciever. (Might look into different options)
  4. Find the proper spring rates and oil thickness.
  5. Mount the Quark Esc somewhere.
  6. Buy a new steering servo.
  7. Lock out the rear steer.
  8. And do the rest of the stuff I forgot to list.

Looks tough now..
Not sure if your interested but I've got about 5 receivers sittin around
The one on the right is somewhat smaller...27MHZ am 3 chan.
But you probably need more than a 3 chan..anyways.

If interested man, just pm me, I can sell one cheap.

That frame turned out great! Very scale looking. Nice work there.
My question is: where did you score those blue alumnium steering knuckles?
