I just like to see how they come together that's all. Especially these fine looking tubers.

A long over due update. I had more pics but my kids decided to have a photo setion and deleted some pics with out relizing that I needed those. I said they could delet these but not these. Anyway

Well it’s been a ruff couple of weeks, but I managed to get a little done.
I’m going to try and get this and some other done before family come down for Thanksgiving.

The rear stinger is set but I don’t really like it. It sticks out to far, I’ll see what XJ thinks and make changes to his liking. Then do the front the same.

On to the pics.

some added info.
I made the side braces to protect the motor and the spur gear.

Need to add some braces to the top that will run with the sides. dial in the stingers and add the mounting locations for the 4 links and she'll be going to the coaters.

Glad you like it.
I'll work on the skids tonight and bring them in tighter. or closer to the axles.

Add some braces and 4 links.

What color you thinking of having it coated?

Well red sounds petty snazzy, but I think a Silver color would be perfect.

I'll see if he has any Snazzy silver colors. Or a combo of red and silver something or other.

OK I have more done and put some moabs on it to show it's true form.

I'm not sure if I'm liking the rear stinger so I'll see if Xj wants to just cut it off or keep it. It has the correct aproack angles on the stinger, to the axles but I guess well see.

I started the half panels to protect the engine and the spur areas. One side will be brazed on and the other will come off to give access to the tranny. I didn't finish them last night cause it was 2am and I was tired.
I'll finish tonight I hope. I have family coming in tomorrow and need to get everything off the dinner table or we'll be eating Turkey around the TV.

Yep.
In the pics the tires are about a 1/8 to a 1/4 inch off the ground, when both sides are weighted the same.

Do you know how much the battery pack weighs? Also, will braces be added to the stinger like you have in the back?

I'll get the battery weighed tonight. I guess at least 7 to 8 ounces.
Yes the stinger will be braced like I did on the rear.

The bad news.. I was up till 3am getting the house ready for company and worked on your tuber till 4pm. So I didn't get it done last night like I had wanted to.

I hate cleaning, because I start re-organizing everything and before I know it, it's Fawking 3am.. I'm going to work on it before the family gets in so I can at least get it to the coaters early Friday/Monday or maybe catch him there tonight.
