I was wondering the same thing. technically, you made your own body and hung your suspension on it. According to my translation of the rules, home made chassis are legal in all classes....but are home made bodies legal?

I don't see any issues with the truck being legal. It has body panels a roof and hood therefore it meets the current tube chassis requirements. It's within the proper measurements for both chassis types.

Well took it for it's first test run on the rocks. It worked really well. It needs some weight tuning but other than that it's all cool.
I put the RC4WD gear reduction in it for fun. That means top speed of 1 mph and no wheel speed. The only down side to the truck is that it's a pain in the but to work on the tranny.
I would like to get the battery lower too.

Went crawling for a little bit today. It's doig really well for no weight in the tires.
Changed the servo mount. I need to revise it to make it strong right now it's not very strong.
Broke the rear axle too.

Yes it meets all the tube chassis requrerments, oh wait, its not a tube chassis, so those don't apply.

Get off your high horse. He knows more about the rules than you do. He is our club rep and can debate on the commity forum, you can't.

That looks great Cole, I would rule that as a Tube chassis being that the plates form the roof and define the cab area.

Now the rules may change that by the time they are done. But that would take some time. And you will be running this before those rules are even released.

Hey, it dosn't have anything to do with your rig, but its not a tube chassis. That is a fact, so when it comes down to it there not going to say its legal cause if they let yours in then some guy with a tvp will say, hey if I put a roof on my chassis I don't have to run a body. I don't like it either but that's the sad turn that our sport is about to take. I do apoigize for hyjacking your thread. Nothing personal, just trying to make a point.

the rules committee has determined it does not fall into any catagory so rather than expand the rules we feel its easier to kill you and hide the evidence!

I really like this chassis. Since you've had it out have you noticed any major obsticles that it needs to overcome? As mentioned earlier do the diamonds catch on anything?
