I think if you add clear panels, and that would be fair-(my club would probably let it pass cuz of weight? I think)!

I see no problem with something like this stretched over a tuber for body panels. It wouldnt have to be clear since there are so many different colors.

I just wonder if it would actually stick to a tuber well enough.

If it worked it would be cheap, easy to repair and an easy way to covere a tuber and the colors could be changed easily when wanted.

Although covering up this particular chassis from XTREME RACING would almost be a sin since it looks so cool.

That chassis is a TVP design, and will have to use a lexan body.

This issue has already been addressed.

The already disscussed this, for it to be a tuber it has to be a tube "chassis", you have a twin vertical plane chassis, adding tubing to the outside of it doesn't change the fact that it is a TVP, thus it falls under the TVP rules and not the "bodied" chassis rules. I think they wer quite clear on that if you would have read the post that I linked above, someone asked the exact question you did.

Kamikaze, sorry I started reading that post and after page 4 or 5 it was just people crying about little things so I quit reading. I did not realize I would have to sort through 4 or 5 more pages of the same thing before seeing someone asking about another TVP chassis.

Does it matter or not if I have to run a body, not really. I just came here to have some fun and show what I was made. I may never go to a comp and if I do and they DQ me, no big worries as long as I had fun. If I do go with a body I will look at the Pede body it is a good idea.

You definitely got the right attitude! Its a tough crowd in here sometimes I hope it turns out the way you want, looks good so far. What are you thinking about for motor and wheels/tires?

I would set it up so you can add body posts to it easily out in the field. If they require a body then slap on on it.

It looks like a nice chassis.

This is not a tough crowd, just voicing there point. I like it

I think I have enough mounting points so adding some body post wont be a big deal.

I probably wouldn't have the first clue what to do when it came to building it anyway. ;)

Worked on some links today. I did some carbon fiber links so when I do the next chassis they will match. Hope you like it so far.

I still have to make the servo mount so when I get that done I will cross the 4-links, I just hooked them on top of the axle cases for show at this time. Also I am expecting a box of parts tomorrow so hopefully I will have time to work on it this weekend.

the shape of that chassis looks like a baja bug body would look perfect on it. mounted really low on that chassis with cut fenders it would look real nice.

You need to get a vendor star and start making some chassis, same as yours without the top part.

The chassis is designed around RC4WD's R2 transmission. I have also used Fat-Rock Axle-Cs as well as a Fat-Rock front battery/servo mount.

It's at a 13" wheelbase as you see it in the pics.

It's almost a shame this rig has to run a body.

Plenty of building and tweaking left to do on this one.
