Default xrc build q's

I'm having trouble screwing the bolts that come with the xrc that hold the top of the shocks and the derlin stand offs

i dunno if the holes are too small, i'm stupid or a little of both

they go in about half way then it's too damn hard to keep going and i don't want to strip hexes. i know they will go in more cuz i stuck a thiner piece to check depth

please help

thanks ! ! !
