Also, shortening the ride height (belly clearance) can lengthen the wheelbase. I think it can actually change it by about 1/4".

Default batteries

thinking of getting 6 cell 4/5A battery pack 2000mah nimh in brick lay out

are these too big ? ? ?

the sub c stick pack that i run on my sw2 is too big and is affecting the approach angle

this is bashe so longer run times are of the essence, any other suggestions ? ? ?

I am running these. 1400 mah and light as heck. I ran 3 courses in UT weekend before last on one pack. I have it velcroed to the top of my servo and just sits on top of my links. For $29 done you cannot beat them.

I like it. Of course I have limited my shock travel so hitting the chassis brace is not an issue.

6 sub C's in my opinion are too heavy up top like that.

I would stay with 2/3 AA's if possible.

I have been working on my XRC, it is the 60/40 setup. The front drive shaft hits the skid plate. Is there something i missing here. Ride height is 3-3/8" so it sits pretty good. I am running a aluminum pede tranny. Any ideas on how to solve my problems or anyone else had similar problems?

Dremel out the skid where it hits.

johnrobholmes is exactly correct. We do not notch or bevel skid plates for drive shaft setups due to the large variety of configurations.

It would be impossible to guess at them all. My SW2 even had the driveshafts hit, and that skidplate is super tiny.

yes, on the assembly of the chassis, no modifying is needed. Now when you get to installing other components- a little "clearencing" is sometimes needed

this ones for you chivas...

I'm also gonna have to grind some of the chassis plate away too so my motor will fit. I have a integy 50 turn hand wound for it but it wont fit. I have a 55 turn integy and it will fit, I guess its the difference in the end cap. The 55 was robbed from my clod so I could mock up. It might be because of the aluminum case pede tranny. I might need to get a plastic cased one, especially to save some weight.
