HPI makes a similar Lotus body that stands just a little over three inches! I wanted to get that one but it was back ordered when I got the elise. It may be worth checking into.

HPI MX-1... Low A-pilars, low roof line, good body for crawling, and looks killer... |

I used the MX1 for a little while, but was not happy with the thickness of the body. Almost every time I rolled, a new crack would show up. Bug bodies work, but just about everyone and their mom runs one. Can we have a little variety please? |

I know im going to get flamed for this, but i think the bug bodies are one of the worst looking bodies out there. I know that they work the best with a little amount of trimming, but they look horrible. I have a jeep and do fine with it. I know that performance matters when competing, and that's why i want one, but i still think they look bad.

Right now I have a bushwacker body. Yes I know it sucks for comps but I never roll over backwards because the body just stands me up on end |

[quote=mrwonderful;725566]I used the MX1 for a little while, but was not happy with the thickness of the body. Almost every time I rolled, a new crack would show up. Shoe Goo buddy! That stuff dries stronger than the original body. I had a really rough comp one day and the fender flares all but came off my Bronco so I Shoe Goo'd them back on and they are way stronger than they were before. Didn't affect the paint at all. |
