| Long time gone... now with update.
WOW its been 3 - 4 months since I last touched this project. ya. I found a little time this week to do some work. started with my pile of parts. I started the front axle. RCP CVDS and ring and pinion gear. fat rock axle c's and rcp steering knuckles. For the rear I was going to use RC4wd straight axles... Well who ever Q.C.'d these did a shitty job. they were over sized by .025 to .035. So fat that the bearings wouldn't even go on. I decided to ditch them and just run cvds in the rear as well. One Hyperion monted and using a Hs-81mg servo for shifting for the R2D. The servo seams strong, but time will tell. (har har) The mounting bracket could have been made better but it gets the job done. For links I'm using 4mm Lunsford Ti turnbuckles. plenty strong and a little bling. |
