Nice work, I like how you modified the BTA steering mounts to work with the 14'r.

I am sure there are many trannies, depending on the chassis you use, you will need to fab some mounts for it.

im gonna try to use the jugg chassis and i can start out with the jugg tranny but i like the sound of getting about 30 minutes out of a battery is that possible with the jugg tranny on one motor

alright, just ran 2 packs through it. I don't like my gear choice, doesn't seem to have enough torque. and the tires have way too much foam in them. So it will be on the owrkbench this weekend to get re-worked a little. otherwise I was VERY happy with it.

? for all you txt guys, what tires are you running and how much wheels weight?
I have a 65t lathe motor and 16t pinion and 120t spur with a pede trans, just wondering, cause I may get an extra set of w/t for it.

Looks great! How is the battery pack working our for you? It is the first time I have seen anyone use the smaller cells on a large scale crawler.

I don't actually use that one , it was for the test run only cause it had charge in it.
I use a custom 3800 gp pack from cheapbatterypacks.com. 7 cell, works awesome.
I have cut my tires alittle and taken the foams out finally, MUCH better.

Uni, I use Maxx Mashers on mine, they're shorter than the Clod/TXT tires. I put them on Maximizers, no holes, and stuck 2.2 Masher foams inside. I like the result a very lot. I don't use weights on trucks, usually. I just mount EVERYTHING in front, if I can.

Cubman, I've used all kinds of smaller cells on all my trucks. The bigger trucks do demand more from a cell, but usually they work out decently. It's hard to beat a good Sub C cell when drawing a lot of amps under a good load.

I run lots of weight in my tires. I put a whole tube of BB's in each of the front tires on my 2.2" TXT. That's 350 BB's! Hey, if you're gonna add weight, don't f*ck around, add some weight! The truck is only 7lbs RTR, even with the heavy tires.

I've gotten as scientific as half a tennis ball filled with BBs, or the typical shot glass full.

I've never counted out 350 BBs.

I didn't count them..... I made my son count them.

Naw, that'd never work. With his attention span I'd end up with maybe 15-20 BB's counted. The Daisy BB's that I buy come 350 to a tube.
