Default My SW-2 14'er buildup

Ok, I have always wanted to start one of those long build up threads, so here goes.
I bought a stock txt, no electronics, got an SW-2 from bender and a custom 3" skid plate like sparky j's. I am gonna run some rdlogic wheels and tires, ace made me some adapters, I have a 65t lathe motor, custom 7 cell pack from www.cheapbatterypacks.com, e-maxx driveshafts, pede trans, new and locked with jb, super chicken, hitec 645mg servos, 4ws, and ofcourse a disco'd CJ-8 body to finish it off. pics will be up soon. Open to any suggestions or changes, SPARKY, you can chime in anytime....

Sounds awesome! Is the 14" wheelbase your choice or a requirement for a certain competition class?

14 " because I watched Sparky's in CO and it was just the right size for almost everything. Pics will be up soon, 7 cell should give some more wheel speed with the 65t motor, we will see.

I don't know if you've run a 65 turn motor yet, but they are dag slow! There's a very noticable difference between it and the 55 turn motor, in wheelspeed I mean.

my 7 cell helped it a lot with the 55t.
It still binds in really bad spots but for comps, it should work just fine.

PS....none of you really think that you will actually beat my 14'r do you?

I'd venture a guess that the 65 turn on 7 cells, is just a touch slower than a 55 turn on 6 cells.

It really is that slow.

I forsee a 14'r showdown in Colorado in my future.

I have a 45t, 55t and a 65t, I will switch them out and see which one runs the best on the new 7 cell pack.

14'r shootout in CO, let's do it, bring it on DD!
