Default driveshaft or cup extensions...

do these things exist?

After installing my bent links in the rear my shaft is about to fall out and is rubbing "clicking" pretty bad. I knew this would be an issue along with the axle/driveshaft length and angle.

It seems it would be fairly easy for a company to make the coupler off the axle a bit longer allowing us to rotate the axle upwards and solve the angle issue. would be cheap and easy i think.

any cheap parts or mods that will fix this, even temporarly, besides putting the stock set up back on?

pipe with a 5mm id. drill 4 holes for setscrews (2 for each end). attach coupler to pinion on one side, extension shaft on the other. you have now made a driveshaft extension.

don't overthink this stuff, keep it simple.

you're on your own for pics, most people just say screw it and run lcc shafts. seriously, this is a 10 minute project if you have a drill press, half hour with a hand drill. made stuff like this for in-field fixes with nothing more than an airdrill on its last leg. not calling you stupid, please don't read it as that, but this is an easy one. even if you have to get a piece of stock and drill it with a 5mm bit, its still no more than an hour job. hit it up, post your results.

No offense taken. A 10min job for most is usally a two day gig for me. Of course one of those days is just cussing and throwing crap until I realize how easy it really is.
loooking throw the tool box now for a piece of something to use.

okay so after i roll the axle upwards it lines the shocks, lower links and upper links on top of the axle and I get horrible axle wrap. looking for a cure, probably in the form of relocating the upper links somehow.

now you know why i came up with the shark fin. you could make your extension, put it on the trans side, then grind a bit out of the cup to get a little more drop out. there is a point where the lcc shafts really start to make more sense, i ran into that at 3 inches of ground clearance. they're good to around 4.75ish clearance, mine are taking a beating at that though, not the cups, but the shaft itself is getting eaten up by the cup. easiest way to run your rear uppers up on the axle side is to just make some spacers.
