| My crawler innovations 1.9 single stage review.
I received my big box of foams today and immediately started tearing down my rig to mount them up. Rig specs are: Losi MRC Losi beadlocks HB rovers Mini NiNo2 chassis Losi shocks My initial thought was "wow, these are wide" But once installed in the tire and mounted up I was very happy with how they felt. For my fronts I used the soft foams. I bolted the losi weight to the wheel and then did a full wrap of sticky weight to give myself the weight I wanted and a flat surface for the foam to work with. They feel excellent. I couldn't be happier with how they feel. The front wheel/foam/tire weight comes in at 9.45 oz. For the rear I wanted something a little stiffer so I ordered up a set of medium density foams. I run absolutely no weight in the rear of my rigs, which means the losi wheel will have the big gap in the center of the foam(this is another reason I ordered stiffer foam) I first installed the full foam and found that, although it felt good it was too stiff for the weight of the rig. So I then took the foam and cut about 3/8" off of the one side to narrow it up. Now with it mounted back up, it feels exactly how I was hoping it would feel( firmer than the front, but still a little squishy! I'll get some pics of it and some testing done tomorrow. But for now, I can definately say that, I am very happy with my decision to buy these foams. I've always felt my foam setup was subpar until now! Thanks for reading and I hope his thread will help some of you inmyour decisions on foams! |

I just ordered some of those foams for my mini so I will be looking forward to your review. I didn't know you could get these in different densities, I just ordered right from the website . Not sure which density they are, hopefully soft. |

I've fitted the 1.9 single stage soft's in my Trailbusters, working very well. They've won the two comps they've been run in so far |

The softs definately feel like they are the best option. I'm pretty sure his site only has the soft foams listed. So you should be good. |

The single stage 1.9 Lil' Nova Foams are only available in soft through the web site currently. I'm a one man operation and I'm working to make the web site better with the help of a friend. I need to add the 1.9 single stage medium foams, firm foams and memory foams still. I also want to change the ordering from a set of 4 to 1 pair which means I need to fix the web site shipping. So please bear with me. In the mean time, you can email me direct at: novasark@crawlerinnovations.com or PM me here on RCC. Emails get answered faster though. I can then invoice anyone through paypal for foams or tires in any density or quantity with accurate shipping. All the densities are in stock and ready to ship. |

Here are the pics I have so far! Here are the soft and medium side by side. Here is how the front tire flattens out. Here is the rear flattens out. I'm going to try to soften up the rear a little more. So far I'm liking them, but haven't had a chance to get it on any real obstacles beyond my rock pile in my yard. |
