Default Bad 1.9 Hyrax?

Just got my new proline hyrax 1.9s and tried to mount to my VP method 105s and one mounted perfect, then the next looks to have a bad mold or something. Anyone experience this with proline before?

Bad tire on right

Good tire

Bad tire

Good tire

Bad tire

Proof one other mounted perfect

I've had this problem with several rc4wd tires, but never with proline. You should try to return it :(

Yea i just sent an email to proline with pics. Hopefully they will warranty it for me. Was just curious if this was common with proline.

Looks like a 2.2 got mixed in with the 1.9s

I don't think it's common. My impression is that proline is very good quality

Hyrax tires can be an utter pita to mount. I wound up having to get completely different set of beadlock wheels just to mount the things correctly, granted all the other ones I had where RC4WD which is known to have issues with pro line beads.

Good point. But its only one side that has an oversized inside diameter. The other side fits the 1.9 perfect. Kinda weird

My 2.2 K02's had the exact same issue. First time I can ever remember an issue with a PL product. I got mine through TowerHobbies and they replaced it right away, no questions asked. I would contact wherever you bought them from first, and they'll point you in the right direction. Assume PL would replace, though quite honestly I've never had to contact them.

I had the issue with a few sets of proline tires. Seems to be more common then people think. All of them were 2.2 crawler style tires. I have never had a problem with any race tire from proline though.

They'll replace it. I've had great customer service from them in the past.

I don't think its a common occurrence but I guess we can all understand that their are thousands of these tires being made and there will be a bad batch once in a while. Im sure Proline will replace or warranty it for you.

I had the same issue with a 2.2 Hyrax tire. It's the only time in the 30 years I've been in this hobby that I've had a defective ProLine product. They will replace it.

Good to hear.

I personally think ProLine is trying to increase production and they are taking the tires out of the mold before they cool enough.
