| Need more wheel and tire advice...
Hi all, I posted recently asking for some advice on wheels and tires. You all gave some great advice, so, I need some more help. I am currently running the stock Axial Trepadors with the plastic wheels. I have researched the Boom Racing heavy wheels and the Duratrax Deep Woods tires and feel it would be a good setup. However, I really like the Krait wheels. So the question is; do I re-use my Treps ( which are in great shape)and get Krait wheels, or get the heavy wheels and Deep Woods tires? I have a limited budget so getting Kraits and new tires is out of the question. Thanks again for all the help, Scott |

Ditch the trepadors! Deep woods with 2 stage foams are excellent on almost any loose surface and much better than the trepadors on any surface. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk |

Treps are not great tires. You will get more performance increase from changing tires.

Should I just go for the Deep Woods mounted and save some money, or should I get the high mass wheels from Boom Racing?

Don't buy the Deep Woods with the wheels they are not that great (plus they are glue ons) and the foam is too soft. Two stage foams and beadlock wheels of your choice is my advice to you. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk |

Buy tires, good foams such as Proline Dual Stage or Rock Racer depending on your application and some beadlocks, gluing tires sucks. |

I don't mind gluing tires. Might reuse my stock Axial wheels and go with a nice tire like the Boom Racing.

My 2 cents would be get the wheels you like and you can always switch tires up later on, the treps aren't great but adding mass and maybe a foam swap would give you some experience in what changes. I don't have personal experience with the duratrax tires, but I hear good things. Just can't dig the way they look, less of a scale tire and more of a toy look in my eyes.

I have had a couple sets of Trepadors and didnt care for them. A local guy does have a set that he cut a bunch of the lugs and they actually do pretty good though.

I've heard chatter here that the jconcepts ruptures are actually a pretty good tire. I may be giving them a whirl on my wraith. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk |
