TSL XLs are a great all around tire. I also like the Hyrax and Rock Beast XL. Maybe one day I will try the new Proline BFG Krawlers.

Ripsaws didn't work well for me in loose dirt, but on rocks they did great.

Too bad the Krawlers don't come in 2.2, I actually like the look of them better than the Hyraxs.

If I could find such a tire I'd be king of Norway! The whole country is a smooth, wet root..

I ended up buying the Hyraxs, because I like the look of them better. If I want to get the TSLs my LHS has a set of SXs.

I run proline krawler, xl rock beast, and xl tsl's All on VP wheels and all with proline 2 stage. I'm kinda loving the krawler right now after breaking them in. Just ordered a set of Goodyear mtrs. They look promising! I like to run tires that are based off 1.1 tires. If not the hyrax seem to do good in our group but it really depends on you rig. On the east side of the state it's wet right now and my krawlers were cleaning out way better than any other tire out yesterday and we had every major tire out there spinning.

I'm curious how the ProLine Krawlers compare to the Axial version.

They hook up better. They are a bit wider and the lugs are a bit narrower. I've ran them both. I liked the axials bc of the look (I'm a 1.1 krawler fan) but the proline seem to be killing it. First few runs out I thought I made a mistake getting them but after them breaking in they are awesome. I also ran my reg 1.9 pits and my friend was running his hyrax yesterday and both those were not cleaning out well compared to the krawlers. Really you can't go wrong with any of the top brands of tires. Put a good foam in them and they all kill it in most areas.

I'm a fan of the Axial BFG Krawlers with CI Double Deuce foams, especially after they are broken in.

I've been running that combo for a while but haven't been impressed with it unless it's dry or rocky.

IMO you won't find better all around options than Proline TSL Super Swampers or Proline Hyrax. Add in their two stage foams for even better performance. Proline tires also wear better than the competition in my experience.

Pit Bull Rock Beasts are good all around tires as well, but their pricing has gotten bat shit crazy and at this point I've given up on Pitbull. Their performance is not superior and there is absolutely no way to justify their price gouging especially when you consider the fact that no foams are included with their tires or they include shit foams.

The alien compounds are a bit up there but you can't beat there customer service! I bought a set of 1.9 rock beast and was doing burnouts to break them in and ripped the tire. Contacted them and no questions asked had a new set sent out the next day! I'll pay a bit more for service. Not saying proline wouldn't do that. Never contacted them, but I was really impressed with there service!

It's odd that the tire ripped so easily...

Yes, Proline has amazing customer service.

it's always wet up here in BC, except when it freezes during the night lol (or when it's summer). I live right next to some trails, so i go out pretty frequently (I must admit that it being freezing is a deterrent to going out lately).

I did but I also had weight on it to see how well the foams were keeping the tire from wrapping. I was really stressing them!
