Default TRX-4 wheels rounded out

I bought a set of Proline wheels for my TRX and the hubs on the wheels have rounded completely out. I wasn't paying attention when I ordered them and didn't realize they were a one piece plastic beadlock. What does everyone recommend for a replacement that won't brake on me in the future. the tires on them are still pretty good but the Wheel hubs themselves are done. I am not looking to spend a ton of money as I am waiting for a very special wheel to be finished by Lockeduprc. But in the meantime I would like to order a decent cheaper beadlock.

For spending a small amount of money for good quality name brand wheels, I'd recommend GMade SR02 (or similar). I have a set on my TRX4 and they add a bit of weight down low and fit nicely.

For a bit more, SSD beadlocks have been fantastic.

SSD steel wheels are inexpensive and durable. That's all I use. I've never had a problem.

I second the SSD stamped wheels. Or grab a cheap set of aluminum china beadlocks on Amazon.

beadlock wheels are dirt cheap from china

another option is to mod the wheels you have to run a slw style hub

grind the hex flat

drill hole out "i think its 8mm but thats just off the top of my head "

place the slw hub against the wheel place the lip on the slw inside the hole then using a red hot paperclip to mark the 6 mounting holes then drill out the holes and there ya go

ive also used clod buster hub adaptors and drilled them out and bolted them to the rims

After purchasing the SLW hubs and the hardware, this wouldn't really be any cheaper than the gmades (or the Amazon beadlocks), would it? Sincere question.

Unless it's meaningfully cheaper, I'd rather have wheels that weren't sort of cobbled together.

That's not too bad - I was seeing them for 17-20 for a pair, plus hardware. If they're available that cheaply...

There's also this thread that has been stickied long ago:

Drill press rim mod's with VP hubs

Also, you can buy certain plastic wheels like these Element bronze ones:

https://www.amainhobbies.com/element...c42100/p977615

And upgrade the hubs to aluminum or brass:

https://www.amainhobbies.com/element...c42103/p977617

https://www.amainhobbies.com/element...c42104/p977618

And even add wheel weights that look like brake discs:

https://www.amainhobbies.com/ssd-rc-...00379/p1147111

The end result with some SSD scale hardware:

Of course, there are definitely some very reasonably priced aluminum beadlocks to be found on sites such as Amazon - where I scored these HobbySoul models:
