| Vanquish VTS Stance Dual Stage Foam
Who here has used the Vanquish Products VTS Stance dual stage foam? What are your thoughts? And how do they compare to the dual stage foam from Proline and Crawler Innovations? I know Crawler Innovations has a lot more options. How do these VTS dual stage foams compare to the stock foams inside of the Fordyce and Phoenix RTR? https://www.vanquishproducts.com/vts...al-stage-foam/ https://www.vanquishproducts.com/vts...al-stage-foam/ |

I have a set of 4.65’s in some vp falken mt’s, they fill out the tire much like my other sets of mt’s with CI 4.5’s. Since i only ran them once so far, I can’t give a great detailed review, but I don’t expect to see much difference between those and my CI’s. The VP outer seems a little stiffer than even the firm ci options, and I’m hoping they won’t break down quite as much. Vp also glues the outer to the inner, which I personally like. I also put a set of the 4.75’s in my vxt2’s and they fill them out quite well. I have not had a chance to run them yet though. If the 4.75’s break down a little over time they would probably be good for an actual 4.75” tire, but if not they could be a little on the big side. In fact, I think they might be a good option for the new 4.9” trepadors, but I haven’t tried them yet. As of now, I will definitely be using the vp foams for other setups. I’m sure I’ll continue using CI as well though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have not had the chance to try any of the VP foams yet. From what I've heard and read, these new foams are quite good. I also like the fact the outer foam is glued to the inner. If these foams are anything like other VP products, then these should be a great alternative to CI foams. I will be trying these out in my next set of 1.9 tires that I use. Following to see others thoughts on these. |

| Re: Vanquish VTS Stance Dual Stage Foam That was my concern. Are they easy to put in the tire even glue together? Quote:
Oh and one other thing about the fordyce foams was that they seemed to sort of stick to the tire when squeezed and manipulated. It seemed like that might hurt performance but maybe that would go away over time.

It is interesting that VP glues the inner and outer foam together. This makes it impossible to adjust outers, but I guess if they do not offer other options this would be impossible unless CI and/or Proline outers dropped on. Quote:
That is interesting the stock foams are stiffer. They are maybe designed for the heavier Vanquish trucks? Not sure if foams are shared with the Origin/Pro/Ultra. Bad thing about the VP dual stage foam is that they are out of stock...

| Re: Vanquish VTS Stance Dual Stage Foam Absolutely, in fact they install even easier imo. I also install my ci foams assembled but then you have to manipulate things to get everything sitting right. By having the outer foam glued it just stays in place and you only have to do minor adjustment of the foams in the tire before mounting to the wheel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think having the inner glued to the outer is a good thing. Thats one complaint I have with CI foams is that the outer slides around on the inner, especially when they get wet and start to degrade. I'm starting to try 3d printed inserts. Some of our comps have water crossings and open cell foams break down to mush after a few of those. |

I've got 2 sets of vxt2 tires. One has ci little nova foams, and the other has the vanquish. The ci foams have more options for tuning the height and firmness, and the wide option fills the width of the tire better. The vp foams are significantly easier to install in the tires. It took less than half the time to get them situated properly in the tires. As for performance, I don't have enough time in either set to say one is better than the other. The car has worked great with both sets. I would have no trouble recommending either option to someone looking for good foams. The only proline dual stage foams I have are the 2.2 xl. They are not comparable to the other options for crawling performance imo, but they are great for the stability of my bomber at speed. They do crawl well, but they are much stiffer than at least the medium option from ci. Last edited by bgredjeep; 12-15-2023 at 07:47 AM. |

The 2 sets of printed inserts I have now are from BAMF. The guy thats been winning all our local comps lately is the one who got me to buy these. I am not quite sold on these particular ones just yet. My CI setup had more traction but the amount of sidewall roll killed me on sidehills. I have a set of YZZRs on order but still havent received them yet.
