Why are people asking for a stiffer sidewal? Like wrecker stated, you regulate how a tire flexes and conforms with the foam, basically like regulating the air pressure in a full size tire. The only possible reason I can see for a harder compound on the sidewall is to reduce the grip it produces. I got in trouble at a comp with my Panther tires when the top of the sidewall pressed against rocks, and stopped the forward progress, because the rubber was so sticky, the top of the tire wanted to drive the rig backwards. |

I agree with the sidewall comments. Use foams to regulate stiffness, not rubber. No matter how good Losi tires perform, I will always support proline. They have supported rock crawling for a long time and have been one of the only major companies who have contributed and taken our requests. I think this new compound is a great thing, I've yet to witness the Losi Clawz so I can't judge. But I can't think of any reason why having more crawler oriented tires is a bad thing. |

| Losi has one. Well not a 40 series but very close. Its the Losi Claw MT (Hollow lugs) tires that the Rock Claws were made after. A couple of us WARCRC members have had these since last spring. We haven't ran them much but now that we put kreepys in they have been a big improvement. Last edited by SMR4RUNNER; 08-09-2007 at 08:37 AM. |

did anyone happen to see the sticky stuff episode on modern marvels , on the history channel. there were some rock climbing shoes that would stick to everything and they even stuck them a pair together at the toe and the shoe would just hang there even after shaking them around. thats what compound i want |

Not to go back and forth but, yes they were We have been running 2.2's for more than 3 years and I remember waiting for Moabs to come in. I was all excited to mount them up under my tuber. I could be wrong but I believe the Moab was the answer to PinchFlat and Kaetwo's request for a 2.2 crawling tire back when the 2 for them were sponsored buy Proline. |
