| New look for my old Summit
Mounted some new Mud Slingers on Axial oversized 8 spoke wheels. Fitted a Team Associated SC8 rollcage( which I had been using for about 6 months as a basher body on my Apache Flux). I've loved the look of some of the steel cages that some guys have built, but didn't want to add that ridiculous amount of weight....especially up high. This cage has proven to be extremely durable and is very lightweight as compared to metal. |

I've " star cut " foams in other tires in the past, but this time i just cut the foams to a smaller diameter. I think this will work even better...we shall see once the tires are broken in. But so far they have a lot of squish to them even though I've only run them a few times. |

I like it a lot, I always wanted Interco tires on my Summit.I really need to dig that thing out sometime and buy some fresh batteries now lol. Were the boggers the same height as the original tires?

Hey thanks, I'm happy with it. These are not interco tires. They're RC4WD MudSlingers. And they are a bit larger than stock tires. Here's a pic for comparison. |

Hey thanks guys. I'm really happy with the look AND the durability. It's much stronger than the stock summit cage. And check out this link. Tcs crawlers makes body panels for this cage. If you look closely at my pics, you can see I also have this dirt shield set installed to the cage also. They need a little trimming to fit the summit. TowerHobbies.com | Associated Firewall/Dirt Shields The RCS crawler pics don't have the shields installed. |

Here's a few pics of the Summit with some more "normal" sized tires. Moabs on non offset Tech 5 wheels. .....I'm thinkin about removing the Mudslingers from the offset wheels they're on. I may install them on non offsets. I really like the narrower stance.......for looks, maneuverability , handling and ground clearance. |

Yup , that's it. You can also buy the firewall/dirt shield pieces that bolt to it also. I posted a link to those above a few posts.

I ran my slingers on tech 5s. Worked great on tighter trails and helped on turn radius a ton!
