Default MIP failure

I've been running MIP's for some time now. But, I snap at least two cross pins every time I'm out with my local group crawling. Can someone suggest a stronger alternative or maybe some way to strengthen these things?
Running dual DeWalt 14.4's, RR slipper/spur, 4s.
