| wheelbase - t-lock-cable
Hello, I´m Klaus from Germany-Bavaria and this is my first post/thread here. I´m currently building a TRX-4 for a Newbright Trailcat-body, which needs about 334mm wheelbase. Traxxas promises adjustable wheelbase from 300-336mm for the TRX-4, but the t-lock-cable seems to be to short for even 334mm. Did anybody else have that problem? Any solutions? Kind regards Klaus |

Hello Magic_yeti, well, for the moment there´s not much to see apart from a Standard TRX-4 - in parts. Yes I put in only longer links in the rear. Extending the wheelbase in the front may cause problems with the panhard rod, probably the whole linkage-/steering geometry. I live in Tiefenbach next to Passau close the Austrian border. Kind regards Klaus |

Hi Klaus, now I am living in Spain, but the next month I will move to Innsbruck. It´s good to know that there are more RC fans in Tirol About your issue: maybe you could try to move the miniservo a bit to the rear and use a cable extension for the receiver in case of the stock one is too short. oh other side of the austrian boarder, nice area. your way to the solution will be interesting overall, cause most try to shorten the wheelbase it's the first try to extent the wheelbase as far as i know. maybe a picture of the issue that you run into, can help getting suggestions. |

My friend had to move the rear diff lock servo and he cut the mount that holds the servos and just bolted it somewhere else. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk |

I dont know how much more length you need but on the ends of the cable there is a threaded rod which threads into the end link that connects the the servo saver. There should be a bit of extra thread that might allow you to back off that threaded rod portion of the cable to extend the length a tiny bit. I think you can get away with this as there is a fair amount of thread engagement to begin with.
