| battery question
What are the dimensions on the battery box on the trx4? Will original traxxas plugs work the newer id plugs? If they don't work, what battery does everyone run in these things?

It’s big enough for a 7 cell flat nimh pack, & it works with any Traxxas connectors. There’s also a space for a small lipo built in to the bottom of the box & another space for a small lipo in front of the steering servo Last edited by TUSOffRoad; 07-08-2018 at 10:33 PM. | |

If you buying new batts I’d plan for a LCG battery tray. :-)

If you replace the battery arm with velcro you can get 2 5500mAh lipos in before it really compromises the balance. The tray itself is more than long enough for any lipo I've seen, probably around 7-8" long. I'll get the actual number when I get home and can look.
