You have a nice rig built there. I went the whole thread from the start and really enjoyed the journey. Great pictures as well. Looks like you have the perfect conditions for this rig's setup.

One thing I missed during the read. Are the batteries affected too much by the cold?

Thanks Xagoras, much appreciated. I have gotten endless entertainment out of this rig. Amazingly it has only ever seen run time in snow.

Conditions here are great for the setup. The worst part is my cold hands. I freeze them on a regular basis...:ror:...but its so worth it getting out there when its snowing. Was out there again today!

Battery life is affected, especially when its particularly cold and i am spinning the track fast. Mostly I crawl. All said, I am running a 3s 5200mAh Lipo. Thats a lot of juice. My runs are plenty long for a cold day.

Pic of climbing snowbanks today. Hard to seei in the photo, but it was dumping pretty good. I caught it in video, it looks great. Gonna edit some and post it up

Seeing those tracks just a chucking snow always makes me smile. Thanks for sharing.

Have you seen any premature drive train wear from the added weight and drag of the tracks?

Happy to share MM, this hobby too fun not to. Gotts give props to Holmes, this 2700kv Puller Pro is a beast. I am definitely making it work, and its worth every moment.

I haven't yet broken any drivetrain parts. I should probably be checking deeper for wear, but there is nothing obvious. Everything still feels tight.

Nice rig..
Air looks so crisp and clear smog only shows up when you're in town. [emoji846]

I think I'm behind on watching your recent YT vids! Headed there now to watch more of the tracks in the white stuff!!

It's been very snowy and frigid in my area lately! I struggle to get myself out to clean the driveway! Not sure if I'm up to freezing my but off driving my rigs out in the snow! I'll just stick to watching your vids!!:ror:

We don't actually get visible smog up here. We are a pretty small city. In the video you are seeing low cloud and snowfall. Typically looks that way when we get locked into a low pressure system.

The air is definitely crisp, at times even biting!

Ha! I am probably a little insane to be going out in the cold. My kid came out for a bit yesterday but finally bailed. I kept going until I couldn't keep running the transmitter properly ...lol

Hey Smog, great pics and vids. Have you considered one of these to keep from getting frozen fingers? https://www.walmart.com/ip/RC-Warm-G...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

I used something similar when I was flying planes in Toronto and they are remarkably effective. They r designed for plane Tx's, but I'm pretty sure there's enuf room in there for a surface radio.

Not sure how I missed your post here Jim, sorry for a late response. I haven’t tried one. There was a user on here who’s wife made him one that looked pretty good. Perhaps one day...

Strange that Walmart would be selling it

Trx4 loves the icy snow while snowshoeing up the mountains . 100% snow climb at 6'24" 1990 to 2156 m.

Beautiful spot for hiking there trucktrial. I don’t imagine many take their crawlers to those altitudes

I have been shooting some winter footage of the X4 lately as well. All snow stuff
