Default Rotten Timing

So I finally get my money saved (not fed money) and CRAP- just about everything I want is out of reach- I did get the TRX4 Sport kit enroute- but no go on the 1080 esc or tires / wheel combo I was looking at- I know some of these items can be found from China (where else) but not sure if that is a safe bet right now. They say maybe a month plus- to get the parts- but I have something coming from China for a month already and they aren't even answering my email- They cashed my check pretty quick- OH they did give me a tracking number- that doesn't track anywhere- - I have waited all these years I guess just have to see if I get them parts before hell freezes over. AND yes I know we are in a global crisis- they are talking about freezing or cutting my pension. Just wanted to rant I guess- Stay healthy my friends

The stock electronics will be pretty good. They are fairly decent. The esc comes in trail mode if I'm not mistaken. Change to crawl mode this way you get instant reverse and the stronger drag brake. The thing with china stuff is that the tracking won't show anything until it hits the states then you'll be able to track progress.

Call your local hobby shop. Some of them are offering curbside pickup. Mine is thankfully.

They just cut some of the pay (at least temporarily) in some departments at my job.

I warned about shortages over a month ago.

Expect parts shortges.

eBay is the only place for a 1080 right now, for about $42 shipped. I’ve picked up 2. Just expect about a week for delivery.
Amain hobbies has been pretty good about everything they have I stock also.
Out of idk 10+ hobby stores within 20 miles of me, only one is open doing curbside service and today he had a pretty long line, so props to those guys.

Hate to do all my shopping online but in a time like this it’s all we can do. They cut my work schedule to 3 days a week so I have 4 days of staying in my 700sq ft apartment and I’m going crazy lol

Seems stock on all the good stuff is low everywhere, guess I'll just have to wait for the supply train to catch up. :-(

I am building the same kit!

I just found the 1080 this morning at ActivePowersports. It arrives in 3 days! They are in Escondido, CA but say they have 12 warehouses?

What other components are you using?

Here is my list:
Holmes Hobbies 540-30T
Savox Servo
keeping everything else stock Traxxas
Painting PS-32 Corsa Grey!

I hate to break it to you, but nothing ever arrives from ActivePowersports. They list long discontinued items as in stock. It's a shady organization and I highly suggest you cancel your order immediately. Then go to eBay for 1080's that are really in stock and ready to ship.

Active Sports got back to me today and said they were out of stock, so that was nice of them. I canceled and found one on ebay.

Old Blue where are you at with your build? I am at the electronics stage, but I am gonna bypass that since I don't have any of that but my motor.
