Default Steering slop

i have a lot of it on my new rtr. Looks like some is from the drag link twisting the tierod and the rest is in sloppy panhard balls.

I didnt notice this when I build my kit.

Anyone else notice this?

When I first saw pictures of the Ascenders steering linkage I thought there had to be geometric slop in the linkage since the drag link pivot on a 1:1 is never truly inline between the tie rod end pivots, which causes the tie rod to rock back and forth as you change steering directions.

Well, Vaterra did manage to put the drag link pivot inline with the tie rod pivots. So even though the drag link is free to rotate slightly, there isn't actually any slop. I was impressed at this, even more so when I drove it and couldn't really tell that it was CMS.

As for the rod ends, I don't know. My kit's where nice and tight. They went into place with a reassuring "pop".

1 of your rod ends looks sloppy. Also there is some slop on the C's. I CA glued mine to take the slop out. The wheel slop is normal in any crawler.
