Default Why didn't they do this body for the Ascender?

This body would have been killer on an Ascender.

1968 Ford F-100 Pick Up Truck V100-S 1:10 RTR (VTR0302: Vaterra

Has anyone shortened and Ascender down to a 256mm wheelbase? Any driveshaft binding? How long are the frame rails at the shortest wheelbase?

Pretty sweet body, but headlights don't appear to have clear lenses for led and I'm not a fan of shorter WB on my crawlers.

Correct, just stickers for the headlights. The wheel base of the F100 is 22mm shorter than our shortest wheel base of 278

It would be really nice as long as it isn't super sized. I had the opportunity to drive an Ascender (Blazer Body) recently and the scale of the body seemed a little oversized to me.

I think the Blazer is pretty spot on, reminds me of the older Blazers stuffing 36s.

Alot of our local guys make their usual comments on the Blazer body,
I luv it! it actually "Helps" thru a course!
I run 1.55 class1 and it actually helps having the larger body, it guides rocks to the tires and the body helps for roll overs, when on my side full turn and bump the throttle, wam its back on all 4!!!
I will run it until it falls apart!!!!

If your not liking the Asender body how about this...
NEW HPI Racing 79 Ford F-150 Supercab Clear Savage XL 105132 NIB

Length: 21.2 (539mm) Wheelbase: 14.5 (368mm)x8.25 (209.5mm)
Width: 7.25 (184mm)
Height: 5.4 (138mm)
Thickness: 0.040 (1mm)
the only down fall is the width kinda narrow...

Nice, I couldn't find the dimensions of the Blazer body and don't have it right here atm, do you have the dimensions? EDIT: Just found dimensions on fleabay, but I previously measured my wheelbase and it was about 12.3".

Measurements:
Body
Length: 500mm
Width: 225mm
Height: 160mm
Wheelbase: 12"~

Would be nice if there were more crawler bodies with detail like the Blazer.
