| Newbie with an new Ascender
New to the crawler scene and ascender. I have had plenty of Traxxas go fast and still have my X-MAXX . After doing a lot of research I pulled the trigger on the K-5 Blazer . Fresh out of the box, 20 minutes later, Love the low speed control!!! A lot different than go fast R/C. Ran this for awhile really enjoyed it. I'm sure I will have many questions for you all . I'm pressed for time but wanted to stop on in and share my new ascender!! |

Welcome to the club! When you get time read these build threads. Natedog is the man and has tons of great info and tips in there! Natedog's Vaterra ASCENDER And here's the link to my build thread. Only because I was a complete noob when I got my ready to run blazer as a gift, after talking with Nate and reading up on his build, I've built mine into a very good truck. I have so much fun with it and even more fun following the same lines that other high dollar and modded rigs go lol. Don't be scared to tinker and try new things. That's the fun of it! Thanks for the warm welcomes!! I already purchased a new servo, savox SA-1230sg and Dynamite DYN2532 1/2 aluminum arm. I did not break the original but it did seam sluggish. Can't wait until I get it back out. |

That's a nice steering upgrade, but you'll probably need a BEC such as Castle (standard, you won't need the Pro version) to prevent brown outs. Castle Creations | CC BEC and CC BEC Pro |
