Thanks. It mostly worked out as planned, but took some tweaking to get the thing mounted straight. The plan is to paint it with a flat black rust paint and just let the rust form as the paint scrapes off. I typically find it doesn’t take long for the rust to form on these steel parts.

I had the same problem. I got it done and mounted and it was about 1/8" crooked. Fixed it put it back on and it was crooked the other way lol
