Default In your opinion, what should I do next?

Picked up the TH and I really like it. It is my first scaler and the closest to a crawler I've ever owned. I've been running fast with TRX Slash 4x4,Stampede, Rustler for years. Was considering getting a Slash 2wd to make it 1 RC per family member. That is until one of my children and I went into the woods with by stock TH (with 500k in front diff) and rode the trails. It was MUCH more fun than I imagined. Did not think going slow would be entertaining. I asked my 10 year old which he liked better and he liked the technical driving on the trails much more than racing around. Now I'm thinking SCX10 Wrangler or a Wraith.

Does anyone have any advice for someone making the move to a trail rig? I think I'm leaning toward the Wraith because of speed, but I'm wondering if I should just let the whole speed thing go considering the other RCs I own. (Also, I drive a Wrangler, so I'm loving the scale looks of the SCX10) Any insight is greatly appreciated.

If you love scale looks, and slow precision, the scx is disgustingly fun. If your 1:1 can't do it, the scx probably can't either. I LOVE that scale realism. You really have to pick your line! Makes for great fun. And you'll never stop making it more scale. I never stop on mine! Of course, on the other hand, the wraith can go scale, too, but IMHO the wraith is almost TOO capable. Haha. I love rolling my scalers, and winchin' 'em back over. Lol

Yes, sounds like OP needs SCX next. I love my Wraith too though.

I have a GmadeR1, Wraith and TWH. They are all fun but missing the realism, with the TWH the closest.
I plan on going to a SCX10 for my next one, probably the Dingo kit. Already have RX/TX that I use on my rigs, don't need the stock crap.

Something tells be I will end up with both in the long run. It seems people are having fun outfitting the scx with scale accessories, like scaleness is a hobby in itself. Maybe that's the route I'll take after all. Tks again.
