Question What brushless motor/esc are you running?

I'm looking into a TH, just curious to see what everyone is running. I didn't see a good concise post about power systems so I thought I'd ask.

Im running a Tekin RS Pro and a Tekin Redline 8.5t on stock 2s lipo.
Great set up IMO. I'm running stock gearing and my temps are between 75-110 *F on motor and esc both.

Sensored LRP stock-spec 10.5 t
Stock gearing
Stock 2000mah dynamite batt.
LRP Ai (yeah, I know, but it does it's job)

Plenty fast, yet precise enough to allow a bit of crawling in 1st gear.

I mostly bash, very little crawling. MMP with a Tekin Gen 2 10.5 on 3s. Stock gearing, plenty fast and runs cool, less than 100 on the motor.

Novak Goat 3s Sensored
Novak Goat 18.5 T Brushless
Stock spur and Stock 28t pinion.

I love this set up. It crawls awesome, never gets hot, and will still clear a 5-6 ft jump. 15-18 mph top speed if i had to guess. It has great punch and no cogging when crawling.

MMP and a Turnigy trackstar 10.5t. 3250 kv sensored on 2s

Love it.. Runs cool to cold and wheelies anywhere I get traction, plus its silky smooth at a snails pace too.

I'm glad to hear someone is using a turnigy motor. I've thought about ordering one for a while now but haven't really heard about anyone using one. You sound pretty happy over all. How long have you been using it?

I only had it in the hammer for about 5 2200mah 2s packs, but it was in the Wraith before that . Probably 10 5000mah 2s packs. I did have it wrapped in a home made pantyhose sleeve ( don't laugh.. It works great and is cheap) to keep the dust and dirt out. I was concerned because the motor can is a very open type design.. Gonna look into a real motor shroud because I keep getting a run in my hose. Haha

I didn't buy it for this purpose.. I bought it because I was curious a out its build quality and I had some weight left in the box on a Hobby King order so I thought for $30 I try it in the slash 4x4. Sold the slash and never did try it.
Initial quality excellent, it really looks and feels like a high dollar motor.
Only time will tell if it stands up.

what about castle creations? they make a sidewinder 3 that is water-proof, cheap(price ways). and they have up to a 7700 kv motor but I recommend getting the 5700 kv, and get this I saw a race between two guys and one had the tekin sc4 motor (7.5 turn 550 motor) with a rx8 and the other guy had a castle creations sidewinder 3 with a 5700 motor and that castle creations truck was right behind that tekin, they almost tied, but the tekin was a tad faster. Yes it is real. And don't get on me about "bad-mouthing" tekin because they are the only thing I use in my rigs I have a tekin rs/13.5 t and a tekin fx-r/35 t and for your information I am buying a new tekin 10.5 turn redline motor tomorrow. cant wait! Lol

Velineon vxl system on stock gears and 2s. Runs great and a pretty cheap and easy setup to come across

Castle SV3 with the 4600kv motor. I really like the setup for what I wanted to build. I wanted a FoFF basher/ trail rig.
PROs
-under $100
- waterproof
-programmable
-castle reliability
-alot faster than stock

CONs
-not as good for crawling as a brushed motor or sensored brushless, but I don't think it's too bad I'm not trying to make this into a crawler
-there are more powerful systems out there, that said I'm not a fan of guys with rigs so powerful they constantly pull throttle flips
