Default how about a 2.2 twin hammers crawler?

i had an idea of building a true crawler based on the TH axles and the two speed transmission.
i know that there is a steering problem (well, there isn't any steering) but i can 3d print parts that will hold the stress or fit some other parts.
i think the LCC CVD's can fit with a few adjustments.

the advantages are the smooth axles, easy maintenance, two speed, high quality, and being custom.

what do you think?

Do you mean making your own c hubs and knuckles and using a rear axle in front?

yes. i might not have to make the entire steering. maybe some of the LCC and the vaterra parts will fit with a few mods.

I see it more as an expensive idea than an interesting one. What you're thinking about building all ready exists, it's called an Axial Wraith.
It's an interesting idea, but I do see a few challenges and little pay-off.
I would just go crazy on a Wraith if I had the kind off budget you're talking about and access to a 3D printer. Maybe an AX10 if scale isn't important.
