| Mongo's Twin Hammers
I picked my Twin Hammers up off ebay. She came with a GCM shock tower (a thing of machined beauty) installed along with Axial front shocks. The front has a locker installed as well. Everything else is completely stock. Here is how she arrived at my front door.

After a few runs out in the backyard and driveway, I realized this is gonna be a fun car, but it needs some work. Steering was horrible, the stock servo has got to go. I'm still trying to decide if I want to keep the locker in it. Torque twist on this thing is insane. Gotta install a rear sway bar.

Check out the GCM rear piece. It helps a TON on the twist.

Yeah I thought about picking the GCM rear piece up but gonna try a sway bar. Lot cheaper. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk |

The sway bar will make a big difference and removing the spare tire helps as well.

Spare tire will probably stay where it is for now. I really like the scale aspect of it.

HiTec 646WP installed. Should be sufficient for my needs. Had to grind down the servo horn to clear the shock mounts.

Decided to keep the stock body panels for now and spend money elsewhere, so I stripped off all the decals.

Rear sway bar installed. Went with the medium weight bar to start out.

I drove it around in my backyard without the sway bar but never crawled with it. The sway bar did make a massive difference reducing torque twist. I can't imagine crawling without it. Uphill climbs would be a nightmare. Definite must have. And thanks for the compliments. I think the rig looks great with the TSL's. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk |

I was very impressed with the crawling capability of this rig. It walked up lines that I had trouble with with my other rigs. I think I may just leave the locker in it, I had planned on running 50k fluid but loved how it worked out on the rocks. I do need to internally limit the front shocks a little bit, I popped the front dogbone out a couple of times. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk |

As much as I like the TSL's I do wish they were a bit taller. I think the XL's would look too big. What tires are you guys having good luck with on the Hammers? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk |
