| Cheapest front suspension Mod
So I was browsing throught the page trying to get an idea on how to modify my front suspension. I have the china hammers and as you all know, the suspension on this thing sucks big time. I just recently bought a used front and rear shocks from a local hobby shop. Plastic bodies and I think its around 85mm front and the rear is about 95mm. Not sure though... So since I am in a country where its a bit hard to buy some hardwares unless I am willing to spend taxi fare to a far away place, I bump into the kitchen area of a supermarket and saw this. Yes a meat fork. The idea came upon looking at the "Y" form it has, makes it a bit easier to make. The good thing is, its made of stainless steel so its very strong. So I went ahead and cut the meat fork in half, drilled the area where the body mount screws are and I got this. So made some measurements on where to mount the shock. And this is what I got. So I finally got the holes drilled and this is how she stands I put back the cage and I am definitely amaze of myself. I so proceeded with cutting the extra steel and put everything back together. And this is her after I tested her outside. Better handling now. Much more stiffer. Seems pretty strong... its also nice to have a bit of angle on the suspension so it wont sag or droop easily. This is just to motivate people who are in to the hobby who has limited budget. It doesnt have to be expensive to get what you wanted over your project. Cheers!
