Default Shift servo questions

OK my LHS is offering me a deal on a RTR Twin Hammers DT that I can't pass up. Made my decision between it and the Wraith a no Brainer. So here is what I need to know and can't seem to find.

The RTR DT model comes without the shift servo and with a 2 channel transmitter. I know the Vaterra 903wp is the common servo for this application, but what else can be used? Does it need to be digital? Which form factor normal, mini, micro? How much torque is required?

I have several hitech 425bb servos left from an unused flight pack from a few years past. I was wondering if they were suitable or not. My LHS. Won't be open until tomorrow so I am trying to get things together to know what. I need and what I don't before making the 45 min drive there.

Default Re: Shift servo questions

It doesn't come with a shift servo because the Trans is locked in high gear.
