Let there be light!!!

Been speaking to Al from HeyOk and ended up getting a lighting controller from him.

Pretty sweet bit of kit. Brake lights at nuetral, reverse and after 30 seconds of sitting, flashing hazards. Then with a switch on the TX, I have park lights (brake lights convert to dim on forward) forward lights, headlights direct from battery voltage and twin flashing KOH lights. Plus an always on output.

Also installed a yeti sealed RX box between the rear shock towers.

I figured you'd already seen them since NewBright is one of Brocky's primary sponsors. No doubt your's will be WAY ahead of the New Bright. Have you seen one in person though? I was just thinking the hardbody might be of use.

Probably not. The body isn't even close to proportional. I don't understand why the chopped the doors off when the 1:1 has solid doors.

Mine is going to have a realistic steel cage and body panels mounted individually.

Small update and images of the worlds most jam-packed twin hammers.

The servo mount plate is so tight against my ESC i actually had to profile the plate and the servo upright.

When i got this TH used, it only had one gear installed. So today I installed metal transmission gears, a full size servo, gearhead servo plate and customized a nitro style shift linkage. Tried the stock setup and it was horrendous shifting. Constantly jamming and very taxing on the servo.

Also installed the HeyOK light controller number two, for the light bar and rock lights. Has 3 stages of dimming.

Decided the front of this shorty cage needed some cahe so I cut off the front of my spare full cage and then fabbed up an alloy hood.

Finally starting on the cage!!!

Need to upgrade from butane to a MAPP torch. Butane takes like 5 minutes per braze!

Another couple of hours in. All the major bends are done, now just straight tube construction. Only had to redo the roof hoops twice to get it symmetrical haha.

More work on the cage. Into the hardware of getting it mounted onto the chassis.

I was hoping that I would be able to do just cage and leave shocks mounted to original.location, but not going to be possible.

So going move my shocks onto the holes of vanquish arms and make custom upper mounts on the cage.

Also going to attemp a hinged bonnet for battery access.

Some updates!

New parts day!!!

Wheel setup done!
eBay 5 spoke wheels. Extremely good quality! Comes wirh SLW style hubs.
Ottsix KLR a/t
CI lil nova 4.5" foams soft/med (she's gonna be a fatty!)
Custom painted beadlock
lockeduprc m2x5mm scale hardware is incoming.

Light bar done
RPM light buckets
3d printed mount bracket
Tube work

3d printed rear cab panel with integrated light bar and axial radiator mount. Really happy with this. The print texture looks like some kind of fibre panel and a simple solution to mounting these two parts. Light is a Maddog RC KOH light bar.

Looking good. That Bronco is very impressive in person, I’ve seen it a few times now.

Can you share a link to those eBay wheels?

Been designing up a storm for 3d printed parts.

Here is the scale V8 engine with combined firewall and operating forward tiling hood hinges.

Battery will be in a compartment behind here. There is room for a radiator too.
