Harley's XR10 #AX50062

was just curious of how much money this project would cost to build and if it was close to the berg project. and which do you preffer and why. sorry for all questions just saving up to start a crawler and trying to figure out which route i should go.

Cost of this one would be quite high. Not everything on this list is needed, such as two sets of wheels. Also certain things like batteries can be found much cheaper if you get them through somewhere like Hobbyparts instead of MaxAmps (I have started running GenAce 430mah 3s from them recently and they are about $4 each).

Also I have a portion of my 4PK factored in there which is just because of how I have my spreadsheet setup (I have every rig I have ever built in this one long spreadsheet). The $100 cost is because I have it spread across 5 rigs.

As far as which is route to go between this and a Berg, I can't really say for sure which way to go. I personally like the way my XR drives better but I haven't updated my Berg in a couple years so thats not really fair. Both a good options, both can be done more budgetable.

Exactly! Taking carbon fiber off is like spitting in Chuck Norris's face. Just not a good idea.

In reality I did contemplate just leaving it off. Just didn't think too long since I was rushing out the door.

Trim the left side off of the brace and then your rear end will be complete:lmao::lmao:

Our local comp is tomorrow morning. One more test session! I did hear that the tops will be in stock VERY SOON. Watch VP's site next week 8)

Just got back from the comp. I was leading when I left, had a few pretty good runs.

One of our club guys took some video as well. Showed it in a real hard bind with both the front and rear, stalling both motors out. No popping at all. 8)

I'll post the video as soon as I see he has it ready to go.

I have been reading a lot and have a lot of mixed information. I need to know which part number shocks your big bores are and what ends and part numbers you modded them with. Thanks.

There are some great shots of the rig in here. Aaron did a fantastic job on the video. Lots of 2.2 and sportsman action. 8)

Big Bore # 2660

Revo Ball End # 5347

"thumbsup"

Thanks. I read on another thread what three different part numbers of big bores are measured from eye to eye with the shock mod done but i was confused as to which one works well on the BJ chassis.

I will add this. When i looked at the 2660 big bores there are two different sizes of the 2660. There is a short and a long. The long one looks to be the one to use.
