TURTLE
Gettin’ back on the horse
Not sure why this was never brought up to more than just the rules comity. It does have an effect on some vendors here. Does that also mean tube chassis as well?
Shon you know as well as I do that if "we" as a club feel a rule needs to be modified for our local club that it is within our interest to do so.
Just as we did for the super class.
The USRCCA rules apply to, yes USRCCA clubs, but mainly to National level events running under said rules.
So ask yourselves, everyone. Are you going to attend a National event where these rules will be enforced? OR am I making a big stink for no reason?
Judging by some of the posts from informed members it does not seem like this is modifying the sportsman class, but rather creating an entirely new class formed for pro class drivers driving shaft driven 2 channel crawlers, AKA a throw back class, AKA a 2.2 Shafty class.
The Sportsman class is not a nationally recognized class, however after Crawlapooloza it sounds like there is now a 2.2 shaft class. I know some people may think it is the same, but in my eyes its not. In general National level events do not recognize new people to the sport as National contenders or cater to their inexperience.
