Szczerba's 2012.2 Secret Agent'd 3.5 Bodiless Berg

Interesting. What kinds of patterns? "thumbsup"

Alternating patterns. Try to avoid "bar" or "paddle" designs that are not staggered. I screwed up and didnt alternate my pattern on the new narrowed khaos.

I just salvaged my "Bar" pattern. They look funky but I have several packs of testing with good results. "thumbsup"
This is not the ideal pattern I have here but has reduced the tread bounce and improved driveability.

I call them the Khaos-No Pins, Esp, out back. :ror:

Removing some of the middle lugs was key with reducing bounce.

You can see the front in rear profiles in the back grounds of each picture.

Cool patterns Shane...still happy with the narrowed tires?

yeap. got in some good testing tonight at a new spot i found 15 mins from my house. narrowed khaos work great.

the new pin patterns are "hail mary's" to salvage my first cut. seem to be working good so far. less pins out back is turning out to be the ticket so far.

Good deal. My rear tires are a pair of the very first red dot Blocks that I built. They've got the cut one and leave two pattern which is staggered side to side but they're just about slap worn out and they're my favorite tires for the rear so far.

My main cut was skip every other row for the rears and do the same for the front but leave one pin on the outside in the cut row. With the new narrowed tires I was getting bounce. Quick PM to fellow crawler I started cutting them up. Greatly reduced the bounce. I really want another set to get the correct cut on them but oh well.

Good info. Thanks "thumbsup"

Yep, learning that more lug spacing (with pin trimming) is the reduced hop answer.

Re-fabbed my weights with some brass washers. Looks a little cleaner.
2.0 oz with two half rings out side and a little less than a half on the inside.

 Sweet picture.

That's a sick ass picture! Interesting pin pattern as well. "thumbsup"

Great timing picture for sure. Yep, as posted above, that was my "salvage cut" to increase lug spacing.

I ended up 3rd at the Arkansas State Championship. Far Left.
Thanks to the Sponsors. HolmesHobbies, CrawlerInnovations, RolandRockShop and Bid D's RC Bags.

Had a couple driver errors by not managing my time on two courses. The truck drove really good.

4lbs 6oz, 2 oz knuckle weight on each side. 10.75" wide front and rear.

Videos up in a week or so. "thumbsup"

Videos from he AR State Championship.

Poor time\course managment on Courses 1 and 4. Springs look a little firm but I like the way it handles.

Think it's Ashton.

I cruised down to the Texas State Finals to run with those guys this weekend.
The courses were super tough but really made for a good challenge.
I ended up finishing 2 of the 3 courses and that landed me in the 2nd place position.
I had to leave out before I could grab my sweet trophy they had for this event.
Alot of good drivers down in that state. "thumbsup"
My truck drove really well. The heat was brutal and I could have made a few more better driving decisions but I had a great time.

Good work Shane "thumbsup"

Thanks Ryan. The narrowed Khaos were working great. By taking more lugs out really helped reduce the bounce and let the rears break free better.

On the chassis durability...
The truck dropped from about a 4' ledge and no issues. And it got lauched up and over a 10' rock and landed on the other side to finish course 2. I had 4 seconds left and I pinned it. Truck was fine.
And last weekend, at the AR State Comp, I was messing around after the comp and the truck fell off a 8' rock ledge onto solid rock and no damage.
Secret Agent is holding up well.

good job buddy!"thumbsup"

Yep, JeremyH got me by a mere 2 points! Texans
Course two was a bear. I really had to work for the entire 5 minutes to complete it. I had 4 seconds left when I launched it through the last gate .

Nice work Shane"thumbsup" You are now my hero with all this fancy driving and these cool build threads your doing;-)

Thanks Brian and I see I made it to your User title. I am honored.
I do what I can while driving.
And I like showing all the details and pictures to help someone out. I was once a newcomer myself.
