I was just wondering if anyone has attempted to build a 2WD Corr/Trophy Truck? I thought I had seen one or two before, not sure if they were in this site.
I'm going to attempt to build one and wanted to get some tips/hints from others who have completed one.
My parts list so far;
Kyosho Mad Force rear-end
T-Maxx tranny
The chassis is going to be made of DOM tubing.

Any info, links or threads that have been posted would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I remember stumbling across one that had a chassis fabbed from mostly cutting board material (I think). It sounds stupid, but I saw some video and it seemed to work awesome. I can't remember where I came across it. I think the Ripper7Racing forum. It had major downtravel in the rear with a nicely done upper sway bar and it took jumps just like the real thing. Anybody know what I'm talking about? I've been trying to find it for some time now...

STANG,
HUGE Trophy Truck fan myself :)

microgoat,
any teaser spy shots

CPE,
I have one on order

K_B and halfcab,
Thats one of previously posted trucks I saw. Thats pretty bad ***.

Wd40prerunner and i are gonne build WK axled 2wd prerunners this summer. Center mounted a-arms on the front, 4link WK axles on the rear and tons of travel.

Stay tuned

Sounds pretty sick diesel.
I'm doing center mounted a-arms to. You going with single or double unequal length? I'm going to try for a double, we'll see what happens, I may just end up with a single.

What bodies are you guys using.
Anyone have a link for some bodies?

Thanks

here is mine

Crawlin,
Thats too funny, thats where I got the idea from. That is very nice. I'm going to make it electric then see if I can convert it to a gasser later on, or just make another one as a gasser. When I get enough $$$$, I'll be getting RC4WDs full CNCd rear end with hardened gears, should be up to the task of a gasser.

halfcab,
Thats bad ***. I cant wait to get mine. I talked to Darren the other day. Its looking like they will be complete ready to ship in July :(. I want it now.
How do you like it? Performance/suspension/all around fit and finish? Please fill me in.

Thanks

a bit tippy on the street, have not had it in the dirt yet, my mamba 5700 is waaaaaay to much to control sprung that soft with a loose gear diff :shock:about 20 mph roll and pin it and the right rear gets about 2"taller than the left and she pulls real hard:lol:, with a mag mayhem it is all fun, jumps real good, soaks curb drop offs better than my rc10 does, I need to get it painted and get some stickers on it, looking to do a robby gordon theme, redbull or monster.......any have any stickers they wanna sell:roll:

This is all you get for now

come on goat, I showed you mine....now....show me yours

truck that is:shock:

halfcab,
Thats an awesome truck. I have been waiting for years for someone to finally make a scale Trophy Truck. The production models will be longer and wider. They tested it in RCDriver with a Mamab to, not sure what model off hand. Sounds insane, I cant wait til mine arrives.

I have just started one. I plan to build two, one for me and one for rcnut38, who is helping with ideas on it. It is to be a full tube chassis. I have the cage in the cab almost finished, should have it completed as a roller soon. After I get the full perimeter of the frame finished and get a ll of the mounts worked out I will go back and add 1/8" rod for bracing in the stress points. It will have a TLT rear, stealth tranny, center mounted arms, and if money allows it will be brushless. It is being built to fit a 07 Silverado body. Here are a couple of teaser pics of it so far. Remember, these are early on in the build up and I am still new to brazing, but so far I am very happy with it.

I've been working on one for a little while based off a Jeep Speed. Well, my buddy has. He's building a tube chassis for me. I gots no skills. Anyways, stasts; King Hauler rear axle, J-Beam front suspension, full tube chassis, Jeep cherokee body, Losi tranny, 1.9 claw dawgs with custom rock rings on Tamiya S10 wheels, ect. Nothing too fancy. It'll be done eventually. Full build up is Here.
