As far as independant rear steer. Go to the Dial menu, set up one of the DT buttons to Ch4 with a 20 point step value. You can then control the rear steer independantly using the DT button you assigned.

I am trying to use rear steer on a scaler. I did your set up work great. I am having a problem with the rear steer not wanting to auto center. So when turning with the front only the rear will turn because it is not locked to center.

Can this be done.

Thats your servo not the radio, you have asked me this like 5 times. The answer isn't going to change man.

How is it the servo? It a 7955? Make it six

All the radio can do is send the signal to tell the servo to stay in the center. If you are running my setup then that is what it is doing. If your servo doesn't hold center than it has nothing to do with the radio.

No it will but maybe because it is chassis mounted?

I also did turn the servo around so the arm is not sticking out. Still

Looks like your wheels are turned in that picture but the servo arm looks almost straight. When the servo arm is less than 90 degrees from the tie rod it will have less power to hold it centered. Looks like that was setup poorly/improperly.

Again, wheels are turned but arm looks straight. So when the wheels are straight the arm will not be and therefore has less holding power.

So your problem is not the radio.

The 4WS setup I have posted is universal. It makes zero difference if it's on a scaler or comp rig.

I was hoping that someone else might see a problem that I am having.

i had the similar problem with my truck previously. I just changed better torguey servo with its own BEC. So it can hold its position with authority!:twisted:

yep nothing to do with the 4PK.. i have 4PK too.

from the picture that servo probably need to go up more so the link will not cross & touch the bottom steering link.

setting up the rear steering is the same like the front (whenever possible of coz). try disabling the front steering and try steer the rear by itself.. can it hold its center position or any position when you pull the tire to the opposite direction?

sorry Josh if I hijack this thread. "thumbsup" Just want to clear that 4PK radio is not the problem. I use the same 4WS setup u shown us.. and for that, Thanks "thumbsup"

Hey guys... I just ran my truck after it has been down for about a week and my RX was acting kinda funny. My truck would glitch out of nowhere. Upon closer inspection I could see the green RX light turning red whenever this happened. I thought it might be a loose solder joint but wouldn't the RX light completey go out if that was the case? Any ideas or would a simple re-sync fix it?

Try rebinding, I can't think of anything immediately that would cause that. If the antenna got pulled too hard it could have popped it off the board. You can open the case really easy, check that maybe too.

That sounds exactly like an antenna issue. I'll post up after I check it out.

Okay well that didnt help. I narrowed it down to a faulty BEC rx plug. I noticed that it was kinda wiggly in there and found that it was causing the glitching and random power loss. Just to make sure I plugged up a fresh BEC to the RX and it was super snug. Over time the the plug just wore out and got lose.
