4PK Setups, Tips, Tricks and Help

I pull the Throttle and on the 2nd line (Ch) Shows movement. I turn on the Mix and the 2nd line (Ch) just flashes a little and goes away.

Nothing shows up on the 3rd line (ch)...

EDIT: Ok I got it now..

Just having issues.s Calibrating my MMP's now.

Strange issue.........

Hi Harley
Need some direction please......

I installed and wired 2 FX-r's and BEC as shown in you diagram
I fallowed your video to the letter

Everything works great Except:

when I go from forward to reverse I only get Front wheel drive for a bit
And when I go from reverse to Forward again I only get rear wheel drive for a bit
when I go to netrual and then forward again everything works as it should

Its as if one ESC dosnt get power for a moment when switching from forward to reverse

any ideas are appreicated

Regards V8

Your ESC's are programmed with reverse delay. Program for instant reverse and you're golden.

I have an interesting one.

I followed your link and video with the setup and copied it.

The interesting part is that after pressing PS1 the front is fine but the rear creeps a little (doesn't stop 100%). This allows the rear to roll while the front dig is on. I did the radio calibration set for each FXR individually.

What did I mess up?

Sounds like you didn't calibrate your ESC's.

That's what I was thinking too. Do you calibrate them both at the same time with PS1 active (full front and rear) or do you do the front (with the rear off) and then the rear (with the front off)?

I did calibrate them individually (only one plugged into the RX at a time).

Hey Harley

Its me again.....

OK I have my radio and dual motor & esc's runing the way you show in your videos
But.....when I try to use front dig the rear wheels still roll (free wheel)
same with rear dig then front wheels still roll (Free wheel)

Do I need to set up drag brake or somthing on my FX-R ESC's ?

How about a video on how to setup the FX-R ESC's to mate with your
Awesome 4PK Radio "Super" setup?

Yes that's a FXR programming issue. I have been wanting to do a full dual ESC setup video that is produced well. It just takes a ton of time. I hope I can get one done but I can't promise a timeline any time soon.

OK...........

Once again your the man !!!! "thumbsup"

So you are saying to go into the programing of the FX-R's
and set The "Drag Brake" to a higher or "ON" setting?

I will mess with it when I get home

Thanks again

Regards V8

Exactly, crank it up to 100% and see if it's too much for you. I think mine sits around 70% front and 80% rear.

OK.........Got it......"thumbsup"

But wait,
wont that disable the ability to be able to "Free wheel" when needed?
In other words every time I let off the throttle (Both motors) I will have brake?

Thats gonna take some driving skill..............lol

OH..........hmmmm

OK
I will play with it

You must be coming from a shafty. That's the difference between a shafty and MOA. With dual ESC setups you adjust the bias of power to underdrive the rear which is like a freewheel on a shafty but better. Set it up and you'll see.

Actually........

It is a "Shafty" with twin transmissions back to back

Aha! I forgot to mention that this is with a 3PKS and I solved it by adding -5% on ch3. Now it turns on its own wheelbase.
