Rich i hope you were able to make that wedge! Looks like a tight spot and kinda steep.
Great build, great Jeep, great pictures! I love jeeps and give it a 9 out of 10. Awesome job!
hey i have great news! remember how i stalk this thread and drool over your TJ all the time? ser3100 is gonna build me a similar LJ body! i'm sending him the NB TJ body on monday! stoked![]()
They'll learn to play nice eventually![]()
This is one of the best looking Jeep builds I have seen! It looks plain awesome. I just read through the whole build (for the most part) and didn't see your overall width (with tires). Can I ask where it sits? I'm trying to plan a build just like this and your's looks just right with that body. I know the axles are 8" but how much do the Rock Stompers add to it?
Are there any other axles out there that are comparable in width to the K44's? Perhaps the T-rex 44 mini's?
Absolutely awesome rig, it's the inspiration for my mrc tj build. One question is there anymore pictures of how the axial tranny was mounted in it prior to putting the dinky kit in it?
So after reading every single post in this thread tomorrow is the day I start my build of my 1.5 tj! thanks for all the ideas I wasnt going to cut the floor out for a transmission but now I have some great Ideas!
There are some great ones here! Also - you can turn the trans around (spur forward) and move the skid forward slightly and the spur should fit in front of the dash...might still require a little trimming but not too much.
There's a pic of the axial mount on page 2, post 31 that shows the mounts ser3100 made. Might even ask salmonfacedsalad if he's still got them and wants to part with them...
