It certainly did!

Trashed the bag, threw the thing in the freezer for 30 and loved every swig.

I stretched out my fav koozie for that thing. It deserved it. Or earned it, depending how you look at things.

If you guys ever come across it, defintely try Knee Deep Brewing Co. "Simtra" Triple IPA
KneeDeepSimtraBeerPic-190x294.jpg

I will admit I have a small connection to one of the brewmasters over there, but honestly speaking the Simtra is one of the best beers I've ever drank. Only comes out once a year and the alcohol content is only around 11.25%, oh bummer! Brewmaster always seems to bring the goods when they come to parties and misc events "thumbsup" Back in July, they were going to the Tahoe Phish concert with my wife and I (our wives are coworkers), so they brought up a fresh growler of the Simtra -- let's just say that high altitude + half a growler of Simtra = freaking wasted! :flipoff:

I think they still do this at their new brewery location in Auburn, CA - on Fridays they open up their doors to the public and do "Dock Days" where you can buy beer and fill up growlers. They only sell to a handful of restaurants and stores in the area, so keep your eye out and enjoy one!

Another good brew is Loomis Basin Brewery's "Alohawk". It's our keg of choice when throwing parties. Seems to sneak up on everybody and tastes smooth enough to please those who don't drink "real beer" and only drink watery piss-beer.

I was chatting with a brewer friend & he reminded me this brew was formulated to compliment the flavors in the bacon maple bar, not as much a stand alone.

I love their chocolate stout.

I'm a big craft beer guy. And even though I hate that winter is coming, I love the seasonal brews. I'm a sucker for some punkin pie, so tonight was this

Smuttynose pumpkin ale is also delicious!

EeePee, they are old as hell Technics SB-LX10's, that are paired with an old Cerwin Vega SW12 home sub. After the sub ate both a high end Kenwood and Pioneer RX, I went to a separate component Technics system, and it's still going strong after 15 years! Sadly, when I moved into my new place, I didn't want to drill holes in the hardwood for speaker wire for the surround sound, so I have a soundbar / sub combo, and they get used for display stands for the 1/4 RC motorcycles more than anything else these days.

Stopped by a local BBQ joint for lunch and suds after a hard day of Mt. Climbing w/ the 1/6th scale Jerps, this is one of those places that you will find any excuse to make the 1 hr. drive just to eat the food, but now they've really stepped it up by having great beers. No drafts, everything is in bottles.

This one had a light body and a good Lager taste.

This one makes me want to find a distributor and hoard a few cases. I used to love their 'Avalanche Ale', it just became impossible for me to find.

And here's the food. I know it's in the wrong thread.:flipoff: Texas style briscut. You walk past the smoker in the parking lot causing instant drooling!
