make sure you are ordering from a local warehouse, if your are in the US then you want to order the one at the US warehouse.
that is the discharge rate, higher is better. This is mostly for Throttle punching, from dead stop to full throttle, or hard acceleration.
it is a fine line between, C rating, MAH, and weight
A higher MAH runs longer but weighs more
A higher C will discharge faster thus needing more MAHs to run longer.
for crawling the rule of thumb seems to be 25 to 30C. we are not going terribly fast and don't generally need sudden wheel speed. So we can stand to have a slower discharge rate.
MAH is up to the operator. I prefer to have a large capacity and much heavier battery in my scaler so i run a hefty 5000 MAH 3s. I can run for a few hours straight trailing and the weight works to my advantage.
My MOA on the other hand is 3 small batteries, two 1600 MAH 3s for the drive train and a 2000 MAH 2s for the servo and receiver. It is more Comp-like and needs to be lighter.
for your truck i would go with a higher C rating, 50 to 70C, and around 2000 to 3000 MAH. if you are running 2s, that will last your roughly 45 minutes (this is not an exact science mind you, run times vary based on charge, battery state, outside temp, and how hard you are running)
There is some discrepancy on weather or not a ESC has to be rated for the higher C's, there for do some homework on that before you settle on a battery.
Last thing, you will also see references to "The MAH being 1C of the Amperage" , might be the other way around. this is not the same C rating as above and is important when charging. basically look at it like this:
3000 MAH = 3 amps
1600 MAH = 1.6 amps
800 MAH = .8 amps
See a pattern here??![]()
Keep asking the good questions man! you are on the right track.
If I want to get a charger for a 2cell 7.4 volt 1300mah 25-50c lipo what charger is a cheap one or what do I need to know to find one? What's a $10-$20 charger that will work with this. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__11902__Turnigy_nano_tech_1300mah_2S_25_50C_Lipo_Pack.html
