Dont know how you will be able to run front/4wd/rear with a 2 position switch. I would try my best to get a DX3E

Sorry about no pictures today. Somthing is wrong and my camera will not load to photobucket. Also, I had to rebuild the front axle 4 times do to careless errors.

Progress: Front Axle minus motor.

Make sure you didnt put any of the wrong screws in and screw through the inside of the case. that is baaaddd :shock:

Nice! You got all the good essentials. Make sure those axles are built right, greased nice and tightened down really good. You will knotice the plastic bulging when you tighten them, and that is good. "thumbsup"

What do you mean by "bulging"?

When you use the wrong screws in the front of the axles, you can see the two casings separating because the wrong legth(too long) screw will be hitting the bearing inside. "thumbsup"

Are my gears likely to strip?

yeah, all stock XR10s gears, if left stock, will strip. its almost inevitable. For the first time or two they strip just call scott at axial and he will get you the gears you need. You need to eventually upgrade to vanquish cases and motor plate.

Small things. flipped C's. Wrong screws. CVD's error. and making a dual threaded thing to short. :lmao:
